1 piece: red It will hit theaters this fall, although the fifteenth film after Straw Hat Pirates has yet to reveal a specific date for his next theatrical career after arriving in Japan. Marketing has begun to ramp up for the return of Red-Haired Shanks, and a unique crossover will take place this weekend at USC Trojans and the halftime show will be dedicated to the latest Shonen movie. Needless to say, this comes as a huge surprise to fans of the Grand Line.
During the season opener for the college football team this Saturday, September 3, the USC Marching Band will play three songs from One Piece: Red, including “We Are!” and “New Genesis” and “Over The Top!”
Drew Dyhart, general manager and vice president of USC Sports Properties and Playfly Sports, said of the unique intersection:
‘We are proud to partner with a global company like Toei Animation Inc. in promoting ‘one piece red filmWith a thrilling live performance from the USC Trojan Marching Ensemble. USC Trojans are released to join the Straw Hat crew in the season opener! ”
Lisa Yamatoya, director of global marketing at Toei Animation, added her thoughts on the special half-time show:
“We are thrilled to partner with USC to end our summer celebration of One Piece Film Red with this special half-time show at the opening of the Labor Day weekend season in Trojan. We invite fans around the world to join us at the movie. Theatrical release this fall “.
If you’re not familiar with the story that will introduce Shanks’ daughter Uta to the world, Crunchyroll has given fans an official description of the next Straw Hats adventure on the silver screen:
Uta – The world’s most beloved singer. Known for hiding her private identity when performing, her voice has come to be described as ‘another world’. Now, for the first time ever, Uta will be orienting herself to the world in a live concert. While the venue is filled with all kinds of Uta-Pirate fans. The thrillers, the Navy watching closely, the Straw Hats led by Luffy who simply came to enjoy her resonant performance – the voice the whole world was waiting for was about to ring out. The story begins with the shocking fact that she is Shanks’ daughter.”
